Terms of Service

We provide private, one-on-one tutoring, test preparation, homework help and homeschool support. Sessions take place in person, at your home or a local library across the San Fernando Valley, or online. We schedule sessions based on tutor availability and do our best to keep the same tutor and time each week.

Every student is different. We work hard to help each student improve, but we cannot guarantee any particular grade, test score, admission decision or other outcome.

To cancel or reschedule a session, contact us by phone, text or email as early as you can. In-person sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or after your tutor has already set out, may be charged in full, because the tutor has set that time aside and may already be travelling. We will tell you when a cancellation will be charged.

If we need to cancel or move a session, we will let you know as soon as possible and will not charge you for it.

• We agree your rate with you before tutoring begins and will let you know before it changes.
• We bill for completed sessions, and for any cancellation charged under the section above, by invoice. Invoices are paid by card through our payment processor, Square.
• If you save a card with us, you authorize us to charge it for the invoiced amounts.
• If you buy a package of sessions in advance, each completed session is deducted from it.
• There is no long-term contract. You can stop scheduling sessions at any time; you remain responsible for sessions already completed and charges already incurred.

Give us accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person; please don't share it. We may suspend or close an account that is misused.

When you use the website or portals, please don't:

• Break the law or help anyone else do so.
• Try to access accounts or information that aren't yours, or interfere with how the site works.
• Upload anything harmful, such as viruses, or anything you don't have the right to share.
• Copy or collect content or information from the site by automated means.
• Harass, threaten or mistreat our tutors, staff, students or families.

The website, lessons, worksheets and other learning materials belong to us or to the people we license them from. Enrolled students and their families may use them for the student's own learning. Please don't copy, sell or share them otherwise.

When you send us information or files, such as notes, messages or a résumé, you allow us to use them to provide our services to you.

Submitting an application, through our site or a job board, does not create an offer of employment. Background checks are run only with your separate written consent. We handle applicants' information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Some features rely on other companies, such as Square for payments and Google or Discord if you choose them for sign-in. Their own terms apply to your use of their services.

By giving us your email address and phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your sessions, account and billing, including by text message. You can turn off text and email notifications in your profile settings, or reply STOP to any text. Message and data rates may apply.

We work to keep the website and portals available and accurate, but they are provided "as is", and we can't promise they will always be available or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, The End Result Tutoring Centers is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from our services or your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for services in the six months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled by the courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law requires otherwise. If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page, and tell you by email or with a notice on the site if a change is significant. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
